From a dealership desk to epoxy floors
I came to this trade in my forties. Before that I ran the service desk at a car dealership, where I watched the shop floors peel and always wondered why. So I learned the work on an installer's crew, grinding and coating concrete, and found the answer was usually under the coating, in a slab nobody had tested or prepped. In 2021 I started Northstar Cooper City Epoxy Flooring here in Cooper City to do it the other way.
That's why I come out myself to look at your floor and test the slab before we talk about finishes, and why I'd rather tell you a hard truth at the estimate than have you find it out down the road. Most of our calls are homeowners with a garage, patio or pool deck to redo, plus some shops and offices.
